NEW WINDSOR, NY – State Senate candidate Tom Basile announced today the endorsement of the Orange County Deputy Sheriffs PBA in his race to succeed retiring Senator Bill Larkin to represent the 39th District.
PBA Vice President Jeremy Yela said, “It is with great pleasure that the Orange County Deputy Sheriffs Police Benevolent Association offers its enthusiastic endorsement of Tom Basile to be our next State Senator for the 39th Senate District. Mr. Basile has shown that he is a person of honesty, integrity and of sound judgement who will be a tireless advocate for law enforcement…We know that with his experience, knowledge and record of public service he is the right candidate for this important position. Tom Basile is a dedicated civic leader in our community and we know that he will move the 39th District forward in the hopes of getting New York State back on track.”
Basile is running on the Republican, Independence and Conservative party lines in the November election. He also has the endorsement of long-serving Orange County Sheriff Carl DuBois.
“It is an honor to have the endorsement of the Orange County Deputy Sheriffs PBA to be their voice in the State Senate,” stated Basile. “As someone who has worked alongside our first responders in a variety of capacities, I know how important it is for them to have the best training, the latest equipment and benefits that provide for them and their families. At a local and national level, I have been a steadfast supporter of our law enforcement community throughout my life and career. Democrat control of the New York State Senate would mean total control of state government by some of the very people who for the last number of years stood against our cops without regard to the facts, and protested and stoked the flames of hate against our law enforcement community. We need to ensure that our law enforcement community continues to have a true partner in the Senate who, like Bill Larkin, will stand firm on the thin blue line.”
